Disclaimer
This application is still in beta as an experimental model albeit we strive to bring a premium and trusted OTC/P2P application mainstream in support of tokenized capital markets.
Using xTrader on a public computer or device shared with others is highly discouraged.
The information provided by xTrader below (or otherwise) should never be considered as financial advice.
All liability of its use falls solely on the individual user according to the regulatory requirements of their jurisdiction.
xTrader is simply an interface tool that provides a peer-to-peer trustless escrow service through a smart contract.
The xTrader app never takes custody of anyones assets, for any reason.
Absolutely no personal data, app settings, preferences, or private contacts are databased by xTrader.
In fact, xTrader currently uses no databases at all.
All of your private Blackbook contacts, app settings, and preferences are stored locally on your device's browser and can be cleared by you at any time.
Let's begin
The following guide makes the assumption you have no experience with cyrpto currencies or tokenized stocks.
It is geared towards helping traditional stock traders begin their journey into tokenized capital markets.
1. U.S. Dollars to USDC
USDC is a crypto version of the U.S. dollar.
You can convert your U.S. dollars to USDC through a crypto exchange or another on-ramp app like Moonshot.
In some cases this step can take some time due to variable waiting periods for I.D. verification and holding times before your USDC is available to be freely used outside of the exchange.
For example, after verifying your ID and connecting your bank account to Coinbase, you can convert funds from a bank account to USDC. However you will have to wait roughly 1 week for your bank to settle payment before you can use the USDC outside of the Coinbase platform.
2. Non-Custodial Wallets
You will need a Non-Custodial wallet that is compatible with the Solana network.
While your main exchange account could be thought of as your crypto bank account, your non-custodial wallet is moreso like the wallet in your pocket.
It is similar in that it is imperative that you are very careful with your personal wallet. Only connect it to web and mobile applications that you trust.
NEVER share your wallets private keys for any reason. you should only ever share your public wallet address.
To manage your holdings, here are a few highly recommended and well established Solana network compatible wallet providers:

3. Transferring USDC
You will need to transfer your preferred amount of USDC from your exchange account to your non-custodial wallet's public address.
We highly suggest holding only what you immediately need in your personal wallet to limit risk.
4. Buying xStocks
While centralized exchanges like Coinbase and Kraken currently block U.S. (and other regions) users from directly purchasing xStocks, you can aquire them from decentralized exchanges like Jupiter or even in swap tools included in your personal wallet.
For example you can connect your personal wallet to the Jupiter website to browse and buy xStocks for major U.S. based companies using your USDC here: Jupiter.
We highly recommend using Jupiter for your day to day xStocks trading as they are the largest decentralized exchange on the Solana network.
5. Using xTrader
Now that you or your institution holds xStocks, you can use xTrader to send or sell your holdings directly to another person or institution
by creating a new "Offer" and defining the receiving party's public wallet address. The receiving party must then Authorize the transfer which provides proof of acceptance.
The "Ref" field when composing an offer can be used for one or more custom identifiers to conform with regulatory compliance for institutional OTC trades.
The party creating the "Offer" can cancel the offer at any time prior to a recipient authorizing the trade.
Once a recipient authorizes a trade it is executed immediately and with finality.
